Nook Color

I've been interested in Android based devices for a little while now, I purchased a unlocked Mytouch 3G from ebay last year and when I was eligible for for a upgrade from AT&T I got a Samsung Captivate. I loved the Captivate but hated how AT&T had locked the phone down so I immediately rooted it and removed all of the AT&T bloatware apps, which are pretty much useless unless you're paying extra for the services that they provide.

Later on I flashed my Captivate with the Cognition Froyo Rom which was awesome. Most Recently I flashed the Captivate with the new Cognition 5.2 Gingerbread 2.3.3 Rom. I must admit that each new rom just makes my Captivate better and better.

Anyways, back on topic.

I just purchased a Nook Color E-Reader that had been converted to a full Android Tablet running Cyanogenmod 7 Nightly Build 8-13-2011 Gingerbread 2.3.5, that is installed on the internal Memory. I must say, I really like this tablet, it's the perfect size, and it's really awesome to be able to run both the Nook Android App and the Amazon Kindle Android App on the same e-reader Android Tablet.

The Nook Color is the perfect size to carry with me all the time so now I'm using it to read books when I'm on the Atlanta MARTA train from North Springs Station to Five Points Station headed to work every day and back to North Springs Station when I'm headed home for the night. I'm almost to the point where I don't even need to carry my netbook with me every day.

Thanks Barnes and Noble for creating a device that is so easy to modify, I'll definately be buying books from you for my nook as well as from Amazon now.

I remain your obedient servant,

Doctor Evil
